The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is the voice of the industry on quality and safety for baby and children's products. We strive to:

• Advocate for safety through product certification programs and legislative and regulatory involvement
• Support a broad and diverse membership through member-only programming and industry promotion
• Act as a comprehensive source for baby product information and education

JPMA’s strength is in its actively engaged membership. Nearly all of our 125-plus member companies participate in JPMA events. Our board is comprised of highly experienced and respected leaders, representing the top companies in the industry. Representing over 170 product lines, more than 50 companies have participated in JPMA's rigorous certification program.

JPMA Certification

For more than 40 years, JPMA has helped parents feel confident in choosing safe products for their baby.

Baby products must meet minimum government requirements based on safety and use. The JPMA Certification Seal signifies a product meets these and additional requirements in today’s marketplace. To become certified, each product is sample-tested at an independent laboratory to verify it meets the highest standards for quality, safety, performance and functionality.

JPMA Certification is voluntary, and based on adherence to ASTM standards, federal and state laws and some retail requirements. The program is designed to provide peace of mind to parents that these products have been independently tested to the most stringent standards.
