JPMA to Testify at Industry Perspectives on the CPSC

On Wednesday February 10, 2016 at 10:15 AM, The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, chaired by Rep. Michael C. Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), will hold an oversight hearing entitled, “Industry Perspectives on the Consumer Product Safety Commission.”


While the hearing is being held to assist members of Congress in determining the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) fiscal year 2017 budget request, members are interested in better understanding how the agency is conducting itself and working with industry on such issues as development of the development of voluntary standards, rules, compliance processes, and if there are any regulatory overlaps or concerns that need to be addressed.


Director of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs Mark Fellin will testify for JPMA and provide the association’s perspective on engagement and processes with the CPSC. The hearing will be available live and you can view it here:
