Are You Utilizing the Small Business Administration?

The Office of the National Ombudsman, a department of the Small Business Administration, has a number of resources and tools that small businesses can use when they experience excessive or unfair federal regulatory action. Small businesses can report issues online or in-person at local outreach events. The Office of the National Ombudsman can provide solutions such as payment of overdue invoices, reductions of excessive penalties and fines, and support in resolving other regulatory concerns.

 

Exhibitors and attendees at the JPMA Baby Show attended a presentation by the Office of the National Ombudsman and staff representing the Ombudsman met with small businesses on the show floor.

 

JPMA encourages its members to use this office as needed, look for an upcoming webinar presented by the SBA, and consider applying for a Regulatory Fairness Board Seat. You can learn more about the Regulatory Fairness Board here.
