Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association Announces Expansion of Membership Category

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. –April 1, 2015 – The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) announced today that the membership passed an expansion of JPMA’s Associate Member category to be widely inclusive of all juvenile product industry stakeholders. 

“The Regular Membership of JPMA, its ‘core’ is not being affected—we will continue to be the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association and our primary focus will be the needs of the juvenile product manufacturing community,” said Kelly Mariotti, executive director of JPMA. “By inviting our friends and partners to join us as members, we believe we can better assess their needs from JPMA and create infrastructure enabling us to provide resources as appropriate.”

JPMA serves many stakeholders who have not previously had a way to formalize their relationship with the Association. The new membership structure will allow JPMA to expand its brand and welcome new members with programming aimed at their specific needs.

Associate membership will now be available to any organization related to, or having an interest in, the juvenile products industry. This includes traditional Associate Members, such as testing labs, law firms, publications and other consultants and service providers, but will now also be expanded to include sales representatives, retailers, licensors, other related associations and charities. 

Startup companies and foreign brands not currently distributing in North America are also included in this new structure along with individual sales representatives and bloggers. A special membership category will also exist for individual students, professors and retired industry veterans.

Interested companies can join immediately and take advantage of all of the benefits currently offered to Associate Members.  JPMA is developing specific engagement opportunities and benefits packages for particular groups based on need and demand, rolling these out as they are identified and developed.
