MT. LAUREL, NJ – February 22, 2017 - The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is pleased to continue support of the JPMA Scholarship Program for the 2017 school year. Now in its 22nd year, the scholarships exclusively fund children of employees of active JPMA member companies.

JPMA will distribute five awards of $2,500 each to assist students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to public service in their pursuit of higher learning. The awards are based on scholastic achievement and future potential, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, career aspirations and goals.

“I can’t thank JPMA enough for the scholarship given to my daughter,” remarked JPMA member Dan King, Project Engineer of Quality and Regulatory Compliance at Mattel.  “I’m so proud of her and all the hard work she has put into college.  Her first year of college, she turned in 55 scholarships and received just 1, however she was grateful for that.”

The Scholarship Program was instituted in 1995 with the hope of making more students aware of the juvenile products industry. Since the program’s inception, JPMA has awarded $250,000 to 125 students.

JPMA is now accepting applications for the 2017 Scholarship Program. Deadline for submissions is May 31, 2017. Members can learn more at http://www.jpma.org/?page=scholarship_program
