Another Successful Baby Safety Month

JPMA would like to thank all the member companies that supported Baby Safety Month through use of the specially designed collateral and contributed to the national dialogue about baby safety awareness during September. Preliminary reports show that the industry collectively generated thousands of news stories in print, broadcast and online. Additionally, millions were exposed to the safe baby messages via a JPMA Twitter Party, social media, and traditional media outreach.
Baby Safety Month 2016 was especially successful because JPMA was able to develop a meaningful theme and cultivate partnerships with leading regulatory, safety and media companies to generate broad awareness. Special thanks to Baby Safety Month partners: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC), Safe Kids Worldwide, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Toy Industry Association (TIA), International Association for Child Safety (IAFCS), Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), Baby Carrier Industry Alliance (BCIA), We Make it Safer/Bellamy Recall, BabyCenter.com, First Candle, Babies R' Us, Coyne Public Relations and the SafetyMom.
We would also like to thank all of our Baby Safety Month Giveaway partners: Joovy, Regal Lager, Baby K'tan, Balboa Baby, Inglesina, Delta, Dorel, Kolcraft,Tee Zed, BreathableBaby, and KidCo. Through the weekly giveaways, we were able to entice consumers to share the Baby Safety Month message which contributed greatly to the social media presence.
We encourage members to continue sharing the Baby Safety Month collateral throughout the year, especially after the holidays to remind parents of the importance of product registration.
