The next round of ASTM subcommittee meetings is right around the corner! Have you registered yet? Nearly all of the juvenile products subcommittees will be meeting April 11 – April 14 in San Antonio. Complete information about the schedule, registration and hotel information can be found on ASTM’s website.
Of particular note, the language crafted by the Ad Hoc working group has been finalized and sent to ballot. Resulting comments will be discussed when the Ad Hoc meeting convenes on Tuesday afternoon. Once complete and approved, all subcommittees will be encouraged to use as much of the language where applicable in their ensuing standard revisions.
Many of the subcommittees have ballot outcomes to review and discuss, and Changing Tables, Booster Seats and Stationary Activity Centers are working through CPSC staff recommendations for revisions in advance of quickly approaching Notice of Proposed Rulemakings.
ASTM is hosting lunch hour training sessions each day as well, where you can take a break from juvenile product standards and learn how ASTM can help support you with their resources. See the topics and sign up here!
Can’t make it to San Antonio this time? Call-in information is available for all meetings and will be distributed with the agenda packets this week. Keep in mind that meeting start times can fluctuate a bit based on whether the previous meeting ends early or late. Plan to call in a few minutes before scheduled to ensure you don’t miss anything.

See you in Texas!
